أعلن المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ريال مدريد، كارلو أنشيلوتي، عن قائمة اللاعبين للمشاركة في بطولة كأس السوبر الإسباني 2024.

ويشارك ريال مدريد كبطل لبطولة كأس ملك إسبانيا في الموسم الماضي وسيواجه أتلتيكو مدريد يوم الأربعاء 10 يناير، في تمام التاسعة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة”.

وتستضيف مدينة “الملك سعود” الرياضية في العاصمة السعودية “الرياض” جميع مباريات البطولة التي تستمر حتى 14 يناير.

وشهدت القائمة غياب 4 لاعبين مصابين وهم تيبو كورتوا، إيدير ميليتاو، ديفيد ألابا وأخيرًا لوكا فاسكيز.

وقال ياكوبو في تصريحات لصحيفة “ميرور” البريطانية: “لقد فاز صلاح بجائزة أفضل لاعب كرة قدم إفريقي مرتين، إنه جيد جدًا، ولا يزال واحدًا من أفضل الأساطير في إفريقيا، ليس الآن فحسب، بل على مر العصور”.

وتابع: “يسجل الكثير من الأهداف مع ليفربول إنه لاعب عظيم، مصر قوية ولديها أيضًا العديد من اللاعبين الكبار الآخرين”.

The current front-runner to be the next Leeds United boss, Sam Allardyce, has already stated on his No Tippy Tappy Football podcast (via Leeds Live) that Wilfried Gnonto should be playing more at Elland Road.

What's the latest Leeds United News?

The Italian winger has struggled for gametime this season, managing just 13 starts in the Premier League despite a return of two goals and four assists.

The 19-year-old has managed even less minutes under Javi Gracia. Since the appointment of the boss in February, Gnonto has managed only nine games and his output has nosedived. He's produced three assists but has failed to hit the back of the net, as Leeds' fortunes have also continued to falter.

The Whites are currently on the edge of the relegation places in the top flight, with the side sat in 17th. They remain only out of the bottom three on goal difference, meaning that the prospect of a drop in league to the Championship is very much real.

With the Leeds fans and board growing weary of Javi Gracia's inability to generate positive results – he's won only three of his 12 games at the helm – it seems he will ultimately be given the boot and the torch will seemingly be passed on to Sam Allardyce. The former Baggies boss will now be tasked with steering the club in the right direction.

A positive for Whites fans though is that their potential new boss could give Gnonto the playing time he – and the supporters – crave. One of the biggest downsides of Gracia's time at the helm has been the lack of action for the Italian but it appears Allardyce could be prepared to give him more, as he called the player "fantastic".

He stated on his podcast last week, via Leeds Live: "There are a couple of players who in my opinion should be playing. Wilfried Gnonto, the young Italian kid. Fantastic.

"He's so positive, so driven, so direct with the ball, he gets the play up the field and he doesn't mind defending as well."

Should Gnonto get more playing time?

Gnonto has certainly proven that he has the talent to be a key player under new boss Allardyce. It was his 12 goals and ten assists for FC Zurich that prompted the Premier League side to snap him up in the first place and he's already on track to beat those tallies in less games with the Whites. The 19-year-old already has four goals and four assists in 24 games so far, so is thriving despite his age (via Transfermarkt).

He can produce the goods for his team and has done so when called upon up to this point. His absence from the side and the way he was deployed under Gracia has meant that creative spark in the Leeds team has been absent – and his ability to drive the team forward has been missed. Throwing him back into the mix now could be just what the side need to avoid the drop to the Championship if Allardyce does play Gnonto.

Chelsea are set to make a bid for Barcelona's Raphinha this summer, with the winger edging towards an exit from Camp Nou, according to recent reports from Spain.

Raphinha appears to be a subject of interest for a number of Premier League clubs, with it recently being reported Arsenal are pushing to sign him this summer, with sporting director Edu making constant calls to orchestrate a deal.

The same report outlines that the Brazilian may be pushed down the pecking order at the Camp Nou if Lionel Messi returns, although French media outlet AFP have recently claimed the Argentine will be playing his football in Saudi Arabia next season.

Either way, it seems as though there will be a number of teams in for the Barca winger this summer, with Newcastle United also being linked, and Chelsea could now be set to make the first move.

According to reports from Spain (via Sport Witness), the Blues are going to bid for the 26-year-old, and formal talks are set to commence immediately, in order to secure his services ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The player's agent, Deco, is keen for his client to listen to offers from the Premier League, and the west London club are said to be keen, having previously came close to signing the former Leeds United man last summer.

However, the Brazil international will not come cheap, as the La Liga club are hoping to sell him for €80m (£69m) before June 30th, and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea are willing to meet such a huge asking price.

Should Chelsea sign Raphinha?

Having amassed eight goals and nine assists for Barca this season, the second-highest number of goal contributions in the squad, it is fair to say the attacker has been a success in his first season at Camp Nou.

That is also indicated by the fact he is ranked as the Spanish club's joint-best performing player in La Liga by Sofascore, having averaged a match rating of 7.30, so it is surprising they are willing to let him leave.

While the Porto Alegre-born star has made his name due to the threat he poses on the front foot, journalist Muhammad Butt has also praised the work he does on the other side of the ball, describing him as a "defensive monster".

Raphinha would be a fantastic signing for Chelsea, but the only issue is the huge transfer fee being demanded by Barcelona, and they should not be held to ransom, given that a new striker must be the priority, due to their torrid record in front of goal.

In-form Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson could leave the club this summer, according to a fresh update from transfer expert Dean Jones.

Is Wilson firing for Newcastle this season?

The Magpies are enjoying a memorable season in the Premier League, still looking likely to finish in the top four and secure a return to the Champions League. That's despite Saturday's 2-2 draw away to Leeds United, as they conceded late on and blew the chance to earn a priceless three points.

It was Wilson who scored both of Newcastle's goals at Elland Road, with the 31-year-old twice firing home from the penalty spot, and he is enjoying a good campaign overall. He has now netted 17 times in just 19 league starts – 28 appearances in total – as well as chipping in with four assists.

The £46,000-a-week attacker is out of contract at St James' Park next summer, however, and given his age, the Magpies could see the upcoming transfer window as the last chance to earn good money for him.

Could Wilson leave Magpies in the summer?

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones admitted that there is a chance that Wilson could move on once the current campaign reaches its conclusion:

"There have been a few whispers about Callum Wilson potentially being available this summer, and it is interesting to think about whether they would genuinely consider it.

"For Wilson as a player, I don’t think it would be a great decision to move on from him just yet. He has great self-belief. He has a good goalscoring record in this division, and I get the feeling he is very determined not to be one of the players discarded as this project ramps up at Newcastle.

"But we should also consider it from a business point of view because that’s when I can understand why it might happen. He’s got another year on his deal. He’s 31 and up there with the highest earners at the club. If they were to extend his stay, they would have to continue to pay him very well, and maybe that’s what makes them consider what to do here."

This is definitely a surprise update, even if the idea of selling Wilson this summer does make sense in some ways, given his contract situation.

It is a tricky situation for the club, with the six-cap England international still playing at an extra level – Eddie Howe has called him "hugely important" – and likely to be a key player next season, too. That being said, losing him for free next year, when Newcastle could have cashed in and signed a younger alternative this time around, could be a bad business decision.

The best possible outcome could be offering Wilson a new short-term deal – one that keeps him at St James' for another couple of years – rather than a long-term extension.

Glasgow Rangers may not have enjoyed the best of seasons, however, a 3-0 Old Firm win last weekend will ensure Michael Beale gets some breathing room ahead of what is looking like an extremely busy summer.

The overall team performance against Celtic was excellent, with Todd Cantwell, John Souttar and Fashion Sakala all getting on the scoresheet in a surprising 3-0 win, while captain James Tavernier led by example in what was a victory which will surely have boosted their confidence.

Tavernier was a menace up and down the right-hand side, making three key passes, taking 64 touches and winning four out of his seven ground duels, taking the game to the Celtic defence when required.

Having scored his 99th and 100th Rangers goals against the same opposition last month, he couldn’t add to this tally in the last Old Firm tie of the season, but it is evident that he remains a key figure heading into 2023/24.

The Englishman will turn 32 in October, and he may only have a year or two left at the very top of the game. The question for Beale is, who could replace him?

Who could replace James Tavernier at Rangers?

Devine has already tasted first-team action for the club, making his debut under Giovanni van Bronckhorst at the tail end of last season against Dundee United, before enjoying a first start against Hearts.

The youngster enjoyed loan spells at Partick Thistle and Brechin City which allowed him to gain some much-needed senior experience with Thistle boss Ian McColl dubbing Devine “highly rated” upon joining the Jags in 2021.

He made the matchday squad for all the Ibrox side's Champions League matches without seeing a minute of action, yet the experience could be vital in his development and under Beale, the 20-year-old deputised at left back in three matches before Christmas due to an injury crisis.

Across these three matches, he averaged a solid rating of 7/10 as per Sofascore and this was encouraging.

He didn’t score or assist, yet his attacking qualities were on display as the starlet succeeded with 100% of his dribble attempts, made 1.2 key passes and created two big chances, suggesting he has a similar attacking intent to that of Tavernier.

Goals and assists will surely come with maturity and further game time.

The future is bright for Devine, and he should gain some more opportunities next season under Beale, who could potentially save millions in the transfer market by sticking with him once Tavernier either moves on or hangs up his boots.
