É indiscutível que o Corinthians representa o maior desafio da ainda breve carreira do lateral-esquerdo Juninho Capixaba, de 20 anos. No entanto, alguns aspectos trouxeram mais pressão no início da trajetória do jovem e promissor contratado do Bahia: o investimento que não foi considerado baixo e a ausência de outro jogador mais experiente na posição.

No planejamento traçado pela comissão técnica com a diretoria, a lateral esquerda sempre esteve entre as prioridades, devido à saída de Guilherme Arana, e Juninho como um dos alvos principais. Porém, no entendimento do departamento de futebol, a vinda do jovem lateral precisaria ser acompanhada de outro atleta mais experiente, capaz de suportar melhor a pressão principalmente na Libertadores. Por isso, a diretoria procurou Danilo Avelar, de 28 anos, atualmente emprestado pelo Torino ao Amiens (FRA). Mas, por questões financeiras, a negociação não avançou.

O lado financeiro que é outro componente importante na chegada de Capixaba. Até o momento, ele é o único reforço para o qual o Corinthians teve custo de transferência. Foram pagos R$ 6 milhões ao Bahia, mais a cessão dos direitos federativos do goleiro Douglas e 30% dos direitos econômicos. O arqueiro fez um Campeonato Brasileiro de destaque pelo Avaí. Para um atleta de 20 anos, o investimento não foi considerado baixo, embora a comissão técnica acredite muito no seu potencial.

Tanto que Juninho largou na frente na briga pela vaga de Arana. Ele foi titular em seus primeiros treinos no Brasil e assim se manteve nesta segunda-feira, na primeira atividade do Corinthians em Orlando, onde disputará a Florida Cup. Saiu na frente de Guilherme Romão, jovem de 20 anos que voltou de empréstimo do Oeste, e Moisés, de 22 anos.

Os outros reforços do Timão anunciados até o momento foram sem custos de transferências. O volante Renê Júnior ficou sem contratado após defender o Bahia por empréstimo, enquanto o atacante Júnior Dutra idem, após defender o Avaí. A diretoria ainda tem acerto salarial com o zagueiro Henrique, que foi incluído em lista de dispensa pelo Fluminense e tenta a rescisão contratual. Também fez proposta por Henrique Dourado, do próprio Flu, e aguarda acerto com o centroavante.

O processo estána 17ª Vara Cível do Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro.

A ação pede que os 475 votos da urna 7 sejam validados. No texto, os autores alegam que comprovou a regularidades destes sócios com documentos e testemunhas.

O documento tem um capítulo ‘distribuição por prevenção’, em que eles alegam que a primeira ação da eleição do Vasco foi da 17ª Vara Cível do Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro e não da 52ª, da juíza Maria Cecília Pinto Gonçalves.Vale lembrar que já houve um pedido do Eurico Miranda via Vasco para tirar a ação da 52ª Vara e ir para a 17ª – o que foi indeferido pela relatora Márcia Ferreira Alvarenga.

Os autores da ação, no documento protocolado na 17ª Vara, admitem que são integrantes da chapa de Eurico Miranda e se dizem eleitos presidente e vice da Assembleia Geral do Vasco.

No início do tópico ‘direito fundamental’, eles pedem a validade dos votos na urna 7 dizendo que os sócios votaram nela ‘por determinação do incompetente juízo da 52ª Vara Cível”.Depoimentos dos sócios que foram a delegacia e Tata da Granja foram citados no documento. Nomes de 150 sócios que teriam enviado vídeo ao Vasco pedindo a validação da urna 7 foram citados também.

As a product of Wolves’ youth system, 19-year-old midfielder Luke Cundle has racked up a total of 84 appearances across the club’s U18 and U23 sides, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists along the way, highlighting the attacking ability he has.

Even though he’s got four first-team appearances under his belt, the teenager, who has been praised in the past for his “outstanding” football brain by James Collins, only has 16 minutes of senior action under his belt, showing that he’s on the fringes of Lage’s team but not close to being a regular player for Wolves yet.

Looking ahead to next season, with Joao Moutinho’s contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, there’s every chance that he could be leaving Molineux, as well as Ruben Neves, who has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the club in recent weeks and months.

With that in mind, if either of those two were to leave in the summer, it could pave the way for Cundle to finally take his place in the team and potentially save the club millions in potential transfer fees to sign a replacement.

Additionally, with Leander Dendoncker only starting nine league games in the Premier League this season and his contract set to expire in the summer of 2023, his future at Molineux could also come under some speculation in the coming months.

As a result, Lage should try and give the youngster as many minutes in the Premier League as possible from now until the end of the term to get him acclimatised to the speed and physicality of the division and then look to make him a more prominent figure in the team next season.

Batting under leaden skies at The Oval, the Kent batsmen duly aided the process, donating their wickets away freely before rain came to force an early finish.It was in stark contrast to Symonds’ powerful innings which contained all the nous and ability you’d expect from the world’s only Twenty20 freelancer. Having contributed just 40 runs in five games this season Symonds owed the Oval crowd a few and after starting quietly he launched into the sort of match-turning innings he was signed for.He got his knock going by easing his enormous arms through a length ball from Simon Cook to send it careering back down the ground into the stands over long on and thereafter six more sixes came in a flash. James Tredwell dished up a full toss, which Symonds only needed one hand to swing over long on and two overs later Symonds swatted Malinga Bandara for successive sixes to bring up a fifty from 24 balls.All the while Stewart Walters was calmly impressing at the other end, working the ball around and picking off a few boundaries of his own, during a 62-ball partnership of 95 that revived Surrey’s fortunes.At one stage it had looked as though Kent were going to flatten Surrey’s inconsistent batting order. Rory Hamilton-Brown, coming off the back of an authoritative 73 against Middlesex in the previous game, was trapped in front off Darren Stevens in the third over and Stevens’ wobbling medium pace did for Steven Davies two balls later.Mark Ramprakash and Younis Khan threatened a recovery, with Ramprakash landing a classy back-foot force through the covers, but he fell the next ball, spooning a catch to Rob Key at cover trying to repeat the dose. Their chase got off to a poor start when Rob Key slipped attempting a single to end up ingloriously on his backside when the bails were taken off. Two overs later, after some testing quick bowling form Chris Tremlett, Martin van Jaarsveld became the second run out of the innings, unable to get back after setting off for a single to short midwicket. Sam Northeast was unsettled by a barrage from Tremlett first up and his frantic knock came to end when he was yorked by Tim Linley.Reduced to 61 for 5 by the halfway stage and with the skies becoming ever more murky, the game was as good as up. There was enough time for Stevens to swish 33 and for the infamous Oval fox to cheer the crowds by darting across the outfield, before the rains came to bring an early a finish.

تساءل ضياء السيد مدرب منتخب مصر السابق عن معايير اختيار اللاعبين المنضمين لقائمة الفراعنة التي أعلنها المدير الفني البرتغالي روي فيتوريا استعدادًا لمواجهة بلجيكا وديًا في شهر نوفمبر الحالي.

وقال ضياء السيد خلال مداخلة هاتفية ببرنامج “بوكس تو بوكس” المذاع على قناة “اي تي سي”: “طالبت اتحاد الكرة بالإعلان عن بنود مشروع فيتوريا، وكان يجب من الكشف عن الخطة المتفق عليها مع المدرب لأن ذلك سيمنعنا من التدخل في جدل الاختيارات”.

وأضاف: “تصريحات فيتوريا لم تعجبني والتي أكد فيها أنه ضم كريم فؤاد (خلال معسكر سابق) عندما لم يكن يثق الأهلي فيه، لأن هذه الأمور ستدخله في أزمات مع الأندية”.

واستأنف: “فيتوريا يجب أن يكشف معايير اختياره للاعبين وهدفه مع المنتخب، وهذا الأمر سيحميه أمام الجماهير من الانتقادات”.

وأردف: “اندهشت من استبعاد كريم فؤاد بعد تألقه مع الأهلي، وحتى الآن لا نرى خطة واضحة  لفيتوريا، فأنا لم أرَ في الاختيارات هذا الأمر”.

وتابع: “عبد الله جمعة لم يشارك مع الزمالك مؤخرًا والآن في منتخب مصر هو ومحمود علاء أيضًا، وعلى الجانب الآخر كريم فؤاد متألق مع الأهلي ولم يتم ضمه”.

واختتم: “كان لابد من استغلال الأجندة الدولية ورفض مواجهة الأردن خسارة لنا”.

West Ham United take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League this evening, with the Hammers looking to consolidate their position in the top four with teams near them having games in hand.

David Moyes’ side are fourth after securing a 1-0 victory over Watford on Tuesday night in what wasn’t the most convincing performance from the east London outfit, with attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals particularly struggling to make an impact on the night.

With the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Nikola Vlasic also available, it’s time for Moyes to axe the Spaniard for the game against the Foxes and call upon an alternative option.

Moyes mentioned the 25-year-old in his pre-match comments ahead of the trip to the East Midlands, stating: “I think Pablo has had a bit of a dip from when he came back in November from the international break. I just hope that he is just starting to show small signs of improvements, but in terms of goals yes [we need more], it is a big thing and we need all of our attacking players to chip in and it would help if Pablo could come up with a few goals for us.”

However, the Scotsman did say that the midfielder impressed in the FA Cup victory over Kidderminster Harriers last week, saying: “I’ve got to say I think Pablo is starting to show signs of improving slightly. He made the goal at Kidderminster with a pass for Declan Rice, I thought the other night he was more influential in bits of the game, especially later on.”

The £18m-rated Spaniard has scored just once in his last 11 Premier League games after an impressive start to the campaign which saw him net four goals and register two assists within the same number of matches in the league.

Whilst Fornals has struggled of late, players in similar positions to the 25-year-old have thrived, particularly Jarrod Bowen on the right-hand side of the attacking midfield three. The Englishman has scored six goals in his last six appearances, currently making him West Ham’s most in-form player.

Along with Bowen, Manuel Lanzini is also starting to bear fruit from attacking midfield, netting a brace against Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day and scoring in the FA Cup win over Leeds United last month, as well as setting up Bowen’s winning goal against Watford on Tuesday.

The final three months of the season will be crucial for the Hammers, not only in the league but with the FA Cup and Europa League to contest as well. Champions League qualification is the club’s main goal for the rest of the campaign, something which Moyes’ side are still on course to achieve, with West Ham sat in fourth place going into their trip to Leicester today.

However, with teams near the Irons boasting games in hand, it’s vital that they now find some form to extend their advantage over their nearest rivals.
