Na quinta-feira, Willian completou exatos três meses dacirurgia para a reconstrução do ligamento cruzado anterior do joelho direito. E, no último fim de semana, uma boa notícia para o atacante do Palmeiras: pela primeira vez, passou a fazer trabalhos de corrida, na esteira.

-Não tenho palavras para descrever o quanto estou feliz e motivado. Claro que essa situação não é boa pra ninguém, mas já foram três meses de muito trabalho e dedicação, tanto minha como do departamento médico do Palmeiras. No final de semana, pude voltar a correr e a sensação foi a melhor possível. Cada dia que passa, me sinto mais forte e preparado – comemorou.

Em 21 de dezembro, Willian passou por cirurgia por conta de lesão no ligamento cruzado anterior e tem volta prevista para o segundo semestre. Elese machucou exatamente no lance em que deu o passe para Deyverson fazer o gol da vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o Vasco, em 25 de novembro, que garantiu o título brasileiro.

Contratado pelo Palmeiras no começo de 2017, Willian balançou asredes em todas as competições oficiais que disputou pelo clube, inclusive sendo o artilheiro do time na conquista do último Brasileiro, com dez gols. Em 121 jogos pelo Verdão, acumula 15 assistências e 34 gols, sendo o segundo que mais fez gols do atual elenco (está atrás de Dudu), oitavo maior goleador da equipe no século e terceiro maior goleador do Allianz Parque, com 15 bolas na rede.

Shikhar Dhawan’s amazing year continued, as he cracked a half-century to set up Sunrisers Hyderabad’s eight-wicket win in his first match as the team’s captain. While it felt “really nice” to begin his captaincy stint on a winning note, Dhawan said after the victory against Kandurata Maroons, he still has much to learn as a leader.”It was my first day as captain. It is completely a new experience for me,” he said. “It feels really nice to win your first match as captain.”But there are still a lot of things that I need to learn. I know I will be making a lot of mistakes initially, but I will have to learn from them. This is part and parcel of the captaincy and I am enjoying it.”One of Dhawan’s questionable decisions was bowling his main slow bowler, legspinner Amit Mishra, for just one over even as Kumar Sangakkara and Lahiru Thirimanne built towards a strong total. The pitch and the opposition prompted that decision, Dhawan said. “The wicket assisted the pacers more than the spinners. Amit Mishra was bowling well but there was hardly anything for him on this pitch.”Moreover, they had a lot of left-handers on their team. That’s why we couldn’t use him much. I felt the fast bowlers had more to offer on this track.” The other legspinner in the side, Karan Sharma, who proved effective in IPL 2013, did not bowl at all.Sangakkara and Thirimanne had added 89 for the third wicket and were increasing the innings’ momentum when Ishant Sharma bowled Thirimanne with a yorker. Ishant, the only bowler in the match to concede less than a run a ball, said he tried to keep the batsmen guessing. “When a batsman is going strong, you have to use all your experience to try and get the better of him,” Ishant told the CLT20 website. “The wicket was very good for batting and so, I knew I had to mix things up a bit.”Instead of bowling all six balls on the same spot I decided to vary my length. We play a lot against them and we know their games inside out. That really helps.”Ishant had good words for Dhawan’s captaincy. “He has evolved so much as a cricketer in the past one year and his confidence has risen up to another level. That shows in his captaincy as well,” he said. “For instance, today, we were going for runs when Sangakkara and Thirimanne were batting but he created and maintained a very calm atmosphere on the field. He knows he has a good team and he believes in us as much as he believes in his own abilities with the bat.”Dhawan’s 71, in a 121-run opening stand with Parthiv Patel in the chase of 169, capped off his fine day. He found batting a bit difficult to begin with, Dhawan said, but Parthiv’s assured batting eased the pressure on him. “We knew we could chase down the total if we batted sensibly. The ball was coming on to the bat very nicely. The pitch had even bounce. It is not difficult to play shots on this wicket.”But I wasn’t connecting the ball well at the start. At the other end, Parthiv Patel was batting nicely and hitting the ball well. So, I thought I can take my time to settle down. In the end, we performed really well.”

O Juventude volta a entrar em campo em uma competição oficial apenas oito dias após a dolorida eliminação para o Grêmio no Campeonato Gaúcho. O time de Caxias do Sul enfrenta o Botafogo em partidas de ida e volta, válidas pela terceira fase da Copa do Brasil.

O atacante Maurício Caprini falou sobre o que espera dos jogos e explicou o esse confronto significa para o clube.

– Vão ser dois grandes jogos que temos para recuperar a confiança depois da eliminação no estadual. Sabemos que esse campeonato tem uma grande visibilidade e vamos com tudo para cima do Botafogo. Temos uma equipe muito qualificada, com plenas condições de buscar a classificação. A Copa do Brasil é um torneio muito importante para nosso grupo – contou.

Pelo Gauchão, o Juventude terminou a fase classificatória na oitava posição, com 14 pontos em 11 jogos, depois de campanha onde só se livrou matematicamente do rebaixamento na penúltima rodada. – Tivemos um desempenho um pouco abaixo do esperado. Um clube como o Juventude não pode brigar para não cair no estadual e não estar na semifinal pela história que tem no futebol gaúcho, também foi algo ruim, mas agora é focar na Série C e nesse confronto da Copa do Brasil em que estamos indo muito bem. Em nossos últimos jogos tivemos coisas muito positivas que temos que levar para o resto do ano. Agora, estamos focados em busca dos nossos principais objetivos da temporada que são a classificação na Copa do Brasil e o acesso a Série B de 2020.

A partida de ida entre Juventude e Botafogo está marcada para essa quinta-feira (4) às 21h30 no Engenhão. A volta acontece na outra quinta-feira (11) às 19h15 em Caxias do Sul.

We have moved on from the IPL to the Champions League T20 qualifiers, and from there to Champions League proper, but some things haven’t changed. Rajasthan Royals stay unbeaten at home in 2013. Poor shots keep making games interesting. And ordinary umpiring keeps playing a significant role.After an early shower delayed the start by 15 minutes, Royals asked the IPL champions to bat first on a pitch with fresh grass, and kept them down to 142 thanks to Vikramjeet Malik, who possibly wouldn’t have been playing had Siddharth Trivedi not been suspended for one year for not reporting an approach by bookies. Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Coulter-Nile, the latter playing in the absence of Lasith Malinga, put Royals batsmen through a stern test, but were frustrated by Sanju Samson having escaped a plumb lbw when on one.Samson went on to become the youngest player to score a fifty in the CLT20. More importantly, it helped Royals home. The knock wasn’t as convincing as the scorebook will show: even his fifty came up with a massive outside edge on the heave, he was beaten next ball, and then – clearly out of place against fast, short bowling – gloved one over the keeper. Then again, it was hardly a night where things were what they seemed to be.Mumbai’s team sheet slated the comeback man Sachin Tendulkar at No. 4, Rahul Dravid said his side needed no spinner, and the grass on the pitch promised high and consistent bounce. Tendulkar came out to open, part-time spinner Ashok Menaria bowled the first over, and Malik bowled a nasty grubber in the second over to trap Dwayne Smith lbw.Mumbai hardly looked comfortable against the movement, losing wickets regularly until Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard added 52 for the fifth wicket. Johnson wasn’t as lucky when he had Samson dead in front to a 150kmph swinger. Bruce Oxenford was the only man who didn’t agree. Samson and Ajinkya Rahane weathered that testing spell, and then targeted the two Mumbai spinners.Pragyan Ojha was welcomed with a six over extra cover, and Harbhajan Singh was punished every time he bowled short and flat. Just when it looked like the two could finish the game off, Rahane ended the 74-run partnership with an ugly swipe. Samson continued his merry ride – he should consider taking it all the way to a casino – until a Pollard short ball got too big for him but wasn’t fast enough to take the top edge behind the stumps over the infield.Royals needed 36 off 27 then, and Shane Watson and Stuart Binny finally made sure there was a departure from the IPL: there was no twist in the end. Well, there might have been one when Watson played put two dots in the last over with two required, but Pollard let him off with a misfield.

Kenya will play seven Twenty20s against Sri Lanka A in Colombo ahead of the World Twenty20 Qualifiers in Dubai. The series, which begins on Sunday after being organised at short notice, will also serve as match practice for several Sri Lanka players, ahead of New Zealand’s limited-overs tour of the country.Sri Lanka Twenty20 captain Dinesh Chandimal will lead the A team, as he did on New Zealand A’s recent tour, with Lahiru Thirimanne named vice-captain. Sri Lanka players Shaminda Eranga, Kusal Perera and Jeevan Mendis have also been named in the 24-man preliminary squad, alongside a host of emerging cricketers, including Akila Dananjaya and Kithuruwan Vithanage.The series will be 42-year-old Steve Tikolo’s first assignment after coming out of retirement for the World Twenty20 Qualifiers, and the team will be led by Collins Obuya. Kenya’s squad for the series includes all of their WT20 Qualifiers players, and two more, in Gurdeep Singh and Emmanuel Bundi.Five of the matches will take place at the Colombo Cricket Club and two at the Nondescripts Cricket Club. أعلن نادي سالزبورج النمساوي إقالة مديره الفني ماتياس يايسله من منصبه، بسبب النادي الأهلي السعودي.

وأوضح سالزبورج في بيان رسمي، أنه قرر إقالة يايسله بسبب تقدمه بطلب رسمي للرحيل، قبل 48 ساعة فقط من انطلاق بطولة الدوري النمساوي 2023/24.

وأشار سالزبورج في بيانه إلى أن المدرب البالغ من العمر 35 عامًا تقدم بهذا الطلب، تمهيدًا لانتقاله إلى تدريب الأهلي السعودي.

وأكد سالزبورج أن هناك مفاوضات جارية مع الأهلي السعودي، وهي في مراحلها الأخيرة الآن.

وسيحل المدربان المساعدات فلورين كوخ وألكسندر هاوزر مكان يايسله لحين تعيين مدير فني جديد لسالزبورج.

A pouco mais de duas semanas para o início da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, o Paraná aproveita o período sem jogos para treinar e se preparar para a sua principal competição do calendário de 2019.

Uma das ‘armas’ da equipe para a competição nacional está no ataque. Trata-se de Jenison, artilheiro do time na temporada e sendo responsável por 40% dos gols marcados pelo Paraná este ano. Isso porque, das 20 vezes que o time balançou a rede, oito foram de autoria do jogador.

Apesar dos números bastante positivos no aspecto individual, o camisa 9 do Tricolor garante que trocaria esses dados pela continuidade da equipe tanto na Copa do Brasil como no Campeonato Paranaense:

– Fiquei feliz pelo gols marcados nesse início da temporada, é minha principal obrigação. Mas trocaria todos esses gols para estarmos ainda na disputa do estadual e da Copa do Brasil. Sei que infelizmente isso não é possível, por isso agora é aproveitar esse momento para treinar bem e entrar com força total na Série B. Tivemos mudança de treinador e a diretoria está trazendo reforços. Tenho confiança que tudo vai melhorar.

Apesar do tempo sem jogos, Jenison ressalta a importância do período e valoriza a preparação do grupo.

– Todo jogador gosta de estar em campo jogando, mas a gente sabe que nem sempre funciona assim. Estamos treinando bastante e essas semanas sem jogos estão sendo bem importantes para trabalharmos com paciência questões técnicas, principalmente porque tivemos mudança de treinador. O grupo todo vem se dedicando e os treinamentos estão sendo bem positivos – concluiu.
