“He is a player who has shown great potential in a short period of time,” he told Sky Sports.

Bayern Munich will come as their last warm-up game of the summer before the competitive action starts, with Spurs braced for a blockbuster UEFA Super Cup clash against fellow European champions PSG midway through August.

Whilst manager Frank assesses his new team on the pitch, chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange are set to remain at work on restructuring the squad ahead of what will be a crucial Premier League season.

Tottenham have already backed Frank with the signing of Mathys Tel on a £30 million permanent deal from Bayern Munich, a £5 million move for Japanese sensation Kota Takai and the signing of star winger Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

After Kudus, Spurs were also set to sign Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White, who was meant to have a medical last Friday, but the potential £60 million transfer is now being held up.

Forest are taking legal action against Frank’s side over what they perceive to be an illegal approach for the 25-year-old, which has seriously delayed his move down south, even though there remains an expectation that Gibbs-White will eventually seal his move to Spurs.

Those within Forest reportedly believe that they’ll be forced to green-light the Englishman’s transfer to Tottenham (Alasdair Gold), but for now, Spurs supporters are having to wait for further confirmation of their stunning £115 million Kudus and Gibbs-White double-deal.

Morgan Gibbs-White "clear" he wants to join Tottenham

Gibbs-White was a key attacking star at the City Ground last term, playing a major role in their qualification for Europe with seven goals and 10 assists in the Premier League alone, but he’s extremely keen to start a new chapter with Spurs.

As per TBR Football and journalist Graeme Bailey, Gibbs-White has informed Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis of his firm desire to join Tottenham – making his stance “clear” behind-the-scenes amid this delay.

The former Wolves star, who Forest signed for around £43m in 2022, was forced to return to training on Monday morning as he waits for his London move to go through.

Marinakis is said to be “furious” over how Tottenham knew about Gibbs-White’s release clause, which is why Forest are complaining, but given it exists, there is little they can do to stop the player’s exit.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are confident they’ll get Gibbs-White done and dusted soon, but it is a “tense” ongoing situation.

There are nerves in the air at Leeds United at the moment as the brand new Premier League season gets closer and closer by the day.

The newly promoted Whites have been very active in the transfer window so far, as seen in seven fresh faces joining Daniel Farke’s ranks this summer to date, but the German is still hesitant about his side’s top-flight acumen heading into the anxious opening run of matches.

Before exploring further as to who Leeds could add to the midfield department, it’s clear that the Whites want more Premier League-capable striker options, and fast.

Beto, who Leeds were linked with earlier in the transfer window, has reportedly come back onto their shopping list as he weighs up moving away from Everton, with the Whites’ interest in Fulham ace Rodrigo Muniz also long-standing.

Away from the plethora of names filtering through in the centre-forward areas, Leeds have also been credited with interest in free agent midfielder Josh Brownhill, as per a new report by GIVEMESPORT.

The report further reveals that Everton is also trying to push through a deal for the ex-Clarets captain, but a tricky stumbling block has emerged for both parties.

The hurdle both sides will have to try and overcome is the spending power of MLS side Toronto FC, who are willing to offer the Manchester-born star a £100k-per-week deal to leave England behind for Canada.

It remains to be seen what Brownhill’s short-term future looks like, but if he does decide to relocate from Lancashire to Elland Road, over pastures new in Canada, he could be just what Leeds need in terms of an attacking outlet centrally, away from the more defensively sound members of the squad from the middle of the park.

Indeed, out of all the midfielders at Farke’s disposal, new £17.4m recruit Anton Stach is the most content with just sitting back and doing his defensive dirty work.

So much so, Stach can even line up as a centre-back if needed – as seen in his 16 career appearances from this part of the pitch – alongside the fact that the Whites number 18 singled out his “aggressive” nature as one key attribute to his game when speaking just after his move to Leeds had been confirmed.

The German’s aggressive approach on the pitch is certainly more evident when looking at the table above, with Stach greatly trumping Brownhill when it comes to tackles made, ball recoveries made, and total duels won per match last season in their respective leagues.

Having such a lively, fierce anchor in the side means Brownhill will be able to focus even more on his explosive attacking game at Elland Road, with the 29-year-old’s stunning output of 18 goals and six assists last season for Burnley clinching automatic promotion out of the Championship, alongside Farke’s title-winners.

With six goals and six assists already next to his name in the Premier League, too, both Brownhill and Stach could be components of a new-look midfield that just work alongside each other, as the EFL “superstar” – as he was once dubbed by former manager Lee Johnson – attempts to become a top-flight regular wearing Leeds white.

Of course, the £100k-per-week salary at Toronto might prove to be too tempting to turn down.

But, with steady teammates such as Stach next to him, Brownhill could shine as a gung-ho midfield presence up a division, as Leeds attempt to make survival less of a chore with entertaining displays.

Porém, durante o jogo, após um momento de vibração dos torcedores que estavam naquele local do estádio, Deyvinho teria questionado Gabriel Menino se tinha saído gol, mesmo eles estando no banco de reservas e acompanhando o jogo no momento em que ele acontecia. Deyverson confirmou a história e brincou com a situação.

A new update has emerged regarding an “exceptional” Everton transfer target this summer, with just shy of £22m needed if the Blues want to snap him up.

The start of the 2025/26 Premier League season is now just a couple of weeks away, with Everton beginning their campaign with a trip to Leeds United on August 18th.

It has been a frustrating summer transfer window for the Blues, however, in terms of the volume of players signed, with David Moyes admitting that his side don’t feel fully ready going into the new campaign.

“We’ve got huge priorities as far as where we would like to try and buy the players if we could do. But also, we’ve got a numbers situation as well, we’re short in numbers, so there’s a bit of both. “But we’re just beginning to think, my goodness, we’re just not getting enough over the line. Because we are actively working to try [and] it’s not as if we’re a club who are saying [that] we’re waiting to sell a player before we can bring one in. But it’s not really the situation. We’ve got money to spend, and we’ll have to try and spend it wisely.”

Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz has been mentioned as a summer option as Everton look to upgrade in midfield, but it’s Benfica’s Florentino Luis who was the subject of a Toffees approach this week, and now a fresh update has dropped regarding the latter.

According to Record [via Sport Witness], Everton will need to pay €25m (around £21.7m) to have a chance of signing Luis this summer, with fellow Premier League clubs Burnley and Leeds United also in the race to bring him in.

No official bid has been tabled yet, with the aforementioned enquiry the most progress made, and it remains to be seen if the Blues will push forward in their efforts.

As shown by the left-back’s assist tally of 37 from his first spell at the club, the Scotland international is a full-back who loves to go down the outside to deliver crosses and create goals by holding the width.

Based on the Belgian dynamo’s form in the Pro League in the last two seasons, as shown in the table above, the £5m-rated star could make a fairly big impact in the final third by playing with the former Arsenal man.

Guardiola said: “He can become a good right-back for the physicality. I think he’s not a player to play in the middle because he’s not clever enough, in composure. He has incredible skills and he’s learning a lot.”

However, there are doubts over whether the Portugal international can be trusted at right-back, given that it is not his natural position, and City have set out to bring in more of a like-for-like replacement for Walker.

Earlier this month, it was revealed the Blues hold an interest in Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento, but widespread recent reports suggest they are no longer set to pursue the 22-year-old, and an alternative option has now entered the frame.

Contact was made over a potential deal for Barcelona’s Jules Kounde earlier this week, and there has now been a new development on Man City’s pursuit of the defender.

According to a report from Spain, Man City are now seriously keen on signing Kounde, and such is their level of interest, they are now preparing a €80m (£69m) offer for his services.

Guardiola is determined to strengthen his backline this summer, and the Barca star has now emerged as his main target, but a deal will not be easy, given that he is locked in talks over a contract renewal to extend his stay at the Camp Nou.

After enduring a rare disappointing campaign last season, City will be looking to compete for the Premier League title once again, and the 26-year-old is exactly the calibre of player they need to bring in.

Described as “world-class” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, the Paris-born defender was a vital player for Barcelona last term, making 32 appearances en-route to La Liga glory, while scoring the winning goal in the Copa del Rey final.

The France international’s attacking talents were on display throughout the campaign, also netting against Real Betis after making a fantastic marauding run.

Walker was, of course, well-known for his pace and ability to make an impact on the front foot, so Kounde could be a like-for-like replacement in that regard, and it is exciting news that City are now preparing an offer.
